During a financial committee session in Taipei City Council, Councilor Lin Shizong attributed the root cause of the CTiTV case to the 'mother contract.' In response, Taipei City Mayor Jiang Wan-an clarified that the current issue lies with the police surveillance contract, immediately terminating the sub-contract while emphasizing that resolving issues wouldn't involve terminating the main contract. Jiang reassured a consistent resolve to handle matters based on facts and contractual terms, affirming that if the main contract posed problems, it would be terminated accordingly.
