A clash between police and civilians at Taipei Metro Jingmei Station on June 12th involved a 40-year-old homeless man surnamed Lin occupying a charging area and arguing with station staff. Subsequently, a police officer surnamed Yu from the Metro Police Team intervened and pushed the man down after being provoked and attacked by him, which was captured on video and circulated online. The Metro Police Team responded that they will proceed with the case according to the law, emphasizing the importance of law enforcement and disciplinary education for officers.
