A suspicious man named Zhao in New Taipei City's Zhonghe District hired a taxi in the middle of the night, instructing the driver to stop at convenience stores and ATMs; however, the driver became suspicious and alerted the police. When Zhao got off at Zhonghe Park, he was ambushed and found with 38 debit cards and over 100,000 NT dollars. Zhao, a 25-year-old driver recruited by a fraud ring, admitted to his role and how he would earn a 5% commission each time he withdrew money for the group.
