A heavy thunderstorm hit Taipei city this afternoon, causing a signal anomaly on the Wenhu Line of Taipei MRT. The service between Liuzhangli and Taipei Zoo stations was suspended for about 45 minutes before normal operations resumed at 3:42 PM. Taipei Metro suspected that the anomaly was caused by lightning, and further investigation into the detailed reasons is ongoing. During the disruption, passengers were advised to consider alternative transportation methods. The MRT company provided shuttle buses between Taipei Zoo and Zhongxiao Fuxing stations. Maintenance personnel worked urgently to repair the issue, leading to the resumption of full service by 3:42 PM.
