According to Yahoo News, President Chen Kai-huang of Taipei National University of the Arts recently caused controversy by showcasing the opulent decoration of his office. Former president Yang Qiwen raised allegations on Facebook that Chen awarded contracts to his son. The Ministry of Education has requested an explanation from the university and will send officials for an administrative investigation. Despite the university's report to the Control Yuan, the Ministry of Education will proceed with its own inquiry into the potential violation of the Conflict of Interest Avoidance Act involving a first-degree relative of the president.
