In the wake of a reported sexual abuse case at a private kindergarten in Taipei, city councilor Chien Shu-pei criticized the Taipei City Government for claiming visits to the school in 2022 and 2023 were related to safety inspections, arguing they were unrelated to the abuse allegations. Mayor Chiang Wan-an countered her accusations by stating that these site visits were conducted at the request of council members and urged clarity to avoid public confusion. Chien retaliated, labeling Chiang's responses as dismissive and indicative of incompetence in addressing the issue.
