On June 18, 2024, Formosa Plastics, one of the Formosa Plastics Group, held a shareholder meeting focusing on the progress of the renovation project of their old building on Dunhua North Road in Taipei. Despite the project taking longer and costs increasing by 50%, the future development is expected to include residential and commercial buildings, with a valuation potentially exceeding one trillion yuan. The renovation is estimated to cost nearly 22 billion yuan and is set to be completed by 2029, revitalizing the Dunbei business district.
