On June 15, 2024, the Taipei City Government Police Bureau Security Police Brigade, in collaboration with the Taipei City Government Hakka Affairs Commission, conducted a fraud prevention awareness campaign ahead of Police Day, showing appreciation to the hardworking police officers. They used the Hakka language to introduce 'Police Duty Routine' and 'Fraud Awareness' through their Facebook fan page 'Taipei Hakka,' providing the public with the latest information on scam tactics to increase fraud prevention awareness. Through activities such as the Hakka Commission's mascot 'Jin Huo Tiao' experiencing simulated police duties like alcohol testing and inquiry, coupled with promoting in the Hakka language, they aimed to educate more people on fraud techniques and patterns. This event demonstrated the determination for a 'nationwide anti-fraud' effort to protect the public's financial security. The Security Police Brigade reminded the public to be cautious of scam schemes, especially those involving 'winning notifications' that require individuals to pay fees to claim prizes or donate to specific accounts, emphasizing the importance of not trusting unsolicited messages and seeking assistance from hotline services when unsure about potential scams.
