Reported 8 months ago

In Taipei, a 53-year-old man surnamed Lin borrowed a high-interest loan from an underground moneylender and was recently detained for failing to repay 90,000 yuan. He called his ex-wife, Ms. Chen, for help, who immediately reported to the police. The police set up a special team, arranged for Ms. Chen to meet with the suspects to pay at Fengyuan Railway Station, and successfully ambushed and arrested them, rescuing Mr. Lin in the process. The 4 suspects, including a father-son duo, were later transferred to the Taipei District Prosecutors' Office for investigation on charges related to restricting personal freedom, usury, and drug-related offenses.
