Taipei City Police Vice Chief, 52-year-old Lin Yue-Kuan, experienced sudden breathing difficulties at home on the night of June 23 and was urgently taken to the hospital by family members. Upon arrival, he lost consciousness and fell into a coma, requiring the use of a ventilator. Fortunately, his condition has since improved, but he remains under observation in the intensive care unit. Lin was diagnosed with acute asthma induced by 'pneumococcus' and was successfully saved by the ventilator. He has gradually stabilized, and the ventilator has been removed, as he continues to be monitored in the ICU.
