Reported 8 months ago

During a press conference, held on June 17, 2024, Taipei Power Party criticized the Hsinchu City government's plan to purchase 9-liter oxygen tanks for firefighting, stating it would not aid in high-rise building rescues and would increase the burden on grassroots workers. In response, the Hsinchu City Fire Department explained that the larger 9-liter tanks would be used as backups for special firefighting needs, while emphasizing that they primarily use 6.8-liter tanks for firefighting operations. They also outlined plans to enhance communication equipment and revise firefighting command protocols to better suit current needs and ensure prompt rescue efforts.
