The first public urban renewal 2.0 project, the Shilin Songbai Urban Renewal case, was signed in Taipei, aiming to transform the 12-story Songbai building into a 25-story above-ground and 5-story below-ground structure with 208 units expected to be completed by 2029. This marks an important milestone in Taipei's efforts to revitalize older buildings, with the government's increased involvement in urban renewal projects bringing a sense of security and progress to the community.
