Taipei's 'Little Lee Porridge and Side Dishes' to Be Demolished and Rebuilt Next Year, Neighbors Join to Avoid Becoming an Island of Redevelopment

On July 2, 2024, at 9:30 am, 'Little Lee Porridge and Side Dishes' on Fuxing South Road in Taipei. The well-known porridge and side dish restaurant 'Little Lee' is confirmed to be demolished and rebuilt, with plans for a 17-story residential building. The founder of Bao Pu Construction, Liu Kejian, mentioned that the area, totaling 240 ping, including Little Lee and surrounding apartments, is undergoing redevelopment. To prevent becoming an isolated redevelopment island, neighbors, comprising 8 households including 'Korean Time Restaurant,' jointly approached the developer before the Lunar New Year, expanding the project from 170 to 240 ping. Involving 2 buildings with 8 units, the redevelopment will start early next year, constructing a 17-story residential building with an estimated total sales of around 10 billion.
