The well-known giant fried chicken chain 'Hot-Star', famous for its extra-large-sized chicken cutlets, with nearly 60 branches across Taiwan, suddenly closed its Ximending branch located in the heart of the district without any prior notice, leaving many disappointed tourists empty-handed. The closure was reportedly triggered by two main factors that finally wore down the boss. The store's disappearance and rumors suggest it may have faced constant complaints about ventilation issues, leading the tired owner to switch to selling souvenirs instead. The space is now expected to be rented out for a new tenant.
