According to the Central Weather Bureau, Taiwan will continue to experience hot weather in the coming week, with temperatures possibly exceeding 37 degrees in some northern areas and the greater Taipei area feeling temperatures as high as 44 degrees today. Due to the influence of southwestern winds, sporadic rainfall is expected in central and southern Taiwan, with heavy rain expected in the south. Thunderstorms are forecasted to expand in the afternoon, affecting the northern and central regions, northeast areas, eastern Taiwan, and mountainous areas, with short-lived heavy rain and lightning. Weather forecasts suggest that the southwestern wind influence will persist until next Monday, leading to sporadic rainfall in the central and southern regions. From Tuesday onwards, the wind direction will shift to a southerly direction before becoming easterly, with high-pressure systems affecting Taiwan by next Friday and bringing in moisture. The feeling temperature in Taipei is predicted to remain around 41 to 43 degrees until next Friday, and it is advised for people to take precautions against the heat and be aware of possible afternoon thunderstorms.
