On July 4, 2024, around 11 am, Taipei Tri-Service General Hospital's Neihu Branch encountered a major computer system crash, resulting in a complete paralysis of the entire system and causing chaos on-site where patients were unable to receive treatment. Despite efforts to switch to manual paper-based operations, the system remains dysfunctional, leaving over a thousand patients frustrated. Technicians are currently working on emergency repairs, with the National Defense Ministry confirming the situation and stating that the exact cause is still unknown, leading to temporary manual operations throughout the hospital.
