Reported 8 months ago

As the COVID-19 pandemic resurges, causing a continuous increase in confirmed cases, hospitals, including Taipei University Hospital, are facing a rise in hospitalized patients. Due to the recent surge in COVID-19 cases, both inpatient and observation areas in the emergency department have been overcrowded, prompting the hospital to reinforce infection control measures. With the number of COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations on the rise, Taipei University Hospital has returned to managing single-patient rooms and negative-pressure wards centrally to better handle the situation and prevent intra-hospital infections.
