In Taipei's Neihu District, a virtual currency dealer was ambushed by two men while trading Tether. The robbers wielded knives, demanded 20,000 Tether (approx. NT$700,000), and later abandoned the victim in Xinzhuang, New Taipei City. The police arrested the suspects in Taishan, New Taipei City, and revealed their criminal records. The suspects confessed to the robbery and were charged with robbery, deprivation of liberty, and assault, among other offenses.
