The Taitung County government officially kicked off the 2024 Beautiful Starry Sky Concert aiming to create a unique starry sky economy for Taitung tourism through sustainable practices. The first concert attracted over 7,000 attendees who enjoyed music while experiencing the beauty of nature in a relaxing setting at the sprawling riverside field. Collaborating with Dr. Li Xu-dai, an astronomer, this event is the nation's only Taitung Beautiful Starry Sky Concert and featured local tribal music groups, renowned singer-songwriters like Buo Buo and Lu Siwei, and rising music star Chen Fangyu. The concert, held in Guanshan on June 29, showcased the dazzling stars as a backdrop in a pollution-free and light pollution-free environment, with five more concerts scheduled for July and August to promote Taitung's starry sky economy.
