The Taiwan Affairs Office recently raised the travel alert level for mainland China and Hong Kong to orange, causing discontent among travel industry stakeholders. Vice Chairman Liang Wenjie of the Mainland Affairs Council mentioned on a TV show that a Taiwanese businessperson was recently accused of violating the mainland's National Security Law. Liang emphasized the importance of being cautious when traveling to the mainland, especially in light of the risks posed by recent developments, such as the introduction of the '22 Measures' by the Chinese government. The orange travel alert is meant to serve as a reminder, with individuals urged to make their own judgments.
