Hsieh Chin-ho, the chairman of Wealth Magazine, revealed that he has been studying Taiwan's future electricity needs diligently with Terry Gou, the chairman of Foxconn, recently. Gou emphasized the significant potential of the energy industry with a value of over 2 trillion, especially with the development of AI. They discussed the possibilities of localizing Taiwan's energy industry, highlighting various energy sources like nuclear, wind, solar, geothermal, and ocean energy. Hsieh noted the differing opinions on energy sources among experts but stressed the long road and immense opportunities in Taiwan's power development. Additionally, challenges in setting up onshore wind turbines and the importance of environmental protection were addressed during their visit to wind farms.
