Taiwan Air Force Academy has established a fundraising account to assist Xu Haoming, a public-appointed Taiwanese student studying at the United States Air Force Academy, whose mother and grandmother were involved in a car accident while attending his graduation ceremony in the U.S. Xu Haoming's family is impoverished, and the medical expenses for his mother and grandmother, who suffered severe injuries, are estimated to exceed 600,000 NTD daily. Legislator Wang Ding-yu revealed that Xu's family relies on collecting recyclables for a living, and due to financial constraints, Xu attended military preparatory schools where tuition is not required. The community is rallying together to support Xu Haoming and his family in this difficult time.
