As major central banks worldwide are entering a cycle of interest rate cuts, the investment market focus is shifting. Claire Huang, a senior emerging markets strategist at Fong Yueh Securities, believes that Asia is currently the fastest-growing region globally, with excellent long-term investment opportunities, especially in the tech sector leading the way. The outlook is positive for Taiwan and South Korea markets, with the year-end expected to be clear and cloudless. Fong Yueh Securities is particularly optimistic about tech stocks in Taiwan and South Korea, with attractive investment potential post inventory adjustments. In addition, countries like India, Indonesia, and Vietnam are benefitting from overall domestic demand and supply chain transfer opportunities, showing high growth potential in the coming years. Huang emphasizes that investing in Asia now means buying stocks as bonds offer minimal yield. Vincent Mortier highlights that compared to mature markets, emerging markets, especially Asia, are worthwhile considerations due to their resilience and regional forces driving growth, which are often underestimated by the West.
