Today, 18 counties and cities across Taiwan have issued heat warnings, with Pingtung even displaying a red warning. The highest temperature of 39.8 degrees was recorded in Kaohsiung, breaking this year's record. The Central Weather Bureau warns of extremely high temperatures in various regions resembling an oven-like heatwave. Residents are advised to avoid prolonged outdoor activities, apply sunscreen, stay hydrated, and be cautious of sudden temperature changes when moving indoors.
