After 8 years of effort, Taiwan's red dragon fruit can finally be exported to Japan. The Ministry of Agriculture stated that Japan issued a document on June 5 allowing the export and immediately sent quarantine officials to Taiwan. On June 24, 192 kilograms were air-shipped to Japan, with an estimated 338 tons to be exported this year. Taiwanese red flesh dragon fruit, known for its sweetness, quality, and availability from May to December, has now conquered the Japanese market after enduring through rigorous inspections and improving competitiveness against pests. This achievement marks a significant milestone in Taiwan's fruit export industry.
