According to Taiwan CPC on June 23, 2024, Taiwan's CPC Corporation announced a decrease of 0.1 NT dollars per liter for gasoline and diesel starting tomorrow. The adjusted reference retail prices are 29.1 NT dollars per liter for 92 Unleaded Gasoline, 30.6 NT dollars for 95 Unleaded Gasoline, 32.6 NT dollars for 98 Unleaded Gasoline, and 26.6 NT dollars for Super Diesel. This week, the prices are absorbing 3.0 and 4.5 NT dollars respectively due to the dual-stabilization mechanism. The adjustment follows the 7D3B weekly average price rise of 3.05 USD and a 0.002 depreciation in the New Taiwan Dollar against the USD, resulting in a 3.00% increase. Despite the expected price increase, to keep prices below neighboring Asian countries, gas and diesel will absorb 2.8 and 4.3 NT dollars respectively, with a 0.2 NT dollar absorption in the first phase of the price stabilization measure. Ultimately, domestic gasoline and diesel will see a reduction of 0.1 NT dollars per liter.
