Taiwan CPC does not adjust the price of bottled gas in July: to compensate for the previously frozen hike absorption

Reported 12 months ago

On July 1, 2024, at 4:53 am, CPC announced that the price of bottled gas in July will not be adjusted. According to CPC, the price of liquefied petroleum gas (bottled gas) for household use, propane and butane for industrial use, mixed propane-butane, and car-use liquefied petroleum gas will remain unchanged starting from midnight on July 2. Although the formula suggests a reduction of 0.3 NT dollars per kilogram for bottled gas, CPC will not adjust the price in July to comply with the government's policy on stabilizing prices. Instead, part of the absorbing amount (15.5 NT dollars per kilogram) will be compensated first, with the remaining amount (15.2 NT dollars per kilogram) to be compensated when international prices decrease in the future.
