During an event in Keelung, Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Secretary-General Lin Ruyu Chang criticized China's recent announcement of punitive measures against Taiwan's independence movement. Lin questioned the logic behind the measures, suggesting that following that logic, various political figures in Taiwan, including potential presidential candidates Han Kuo-yu and Ko Wen-je, could be considered 'public enemy number one.' Lin emphasized the importance of democracy and Taiwanese sovereignty, stating that the Taiwanese people cannot accept such disrespectful actions.
