Additionally, a new chapter focusing on the safety and health of firefighters was introduced to ensure their well-being while on duty, aiming to create a safer working environment. The amendments also expanded the range of people eligible to blow the whistle on hazardous material sites and increased penalties for non-compliance in fire protection and disaster plans, emphasizing the importance of public safety and occupational health for firefighters.
