Due to the continuous influence of the southwest wind, various areas in Taiwan are experiencing hot weather. Today, 18 counties and cities have been issued with high-temperature alerts, with Taitung County under an orange warning predicting temperatures up to 38 degrees Celsius. People are advised to protect themselves from heatstroke by staying hydrated and wearing sunscreen. The unstable rainfall pattern is expected to bring widespread thunderstorms and heavy rain, especially in the central and northern regions. It is recommended to avoid outdoor activities during the hot afternoon period to prevent heat-related illnesses.
