Taiwan Facing Urgent Need for Intravenous Fluids as 316,000 Bags of Normal Saline Solution Arrive

Reported 7 months ago

Yung Fong's factory in Xinzhuang has stopped production due to failure to comply with PIC/S GMP standards, affecting the supply of large infusion drug products. To address the shortage, Taiwan's Food and Drug Administration has requested domestic qualified manufacturers to increase production and initiated a public solicitation for special imports or manufacturing. The first batch of imported normal saline solution for injection will be distributed to medical institutions this week to meet clinical needs.
