A fishing boat from Penghu, Taiwan, named 'Da Jin Man 88' was seized by the Chinese coast guard near Kinmen Island, while around 40-50 other fishing boats in the area were left untouched. Speculation suggests that this seizure during a period of reduced fishing activities on the Chinese side could be a warning signal given the recent tensions between the two sides. Despite the presence of Taiwanese coast guard ships, they were unable to prevent the seizure, and the boat was taken to China with its crew.
