Element Futures pointed out on July 1, 2024, that the Taiwan Stock Exchange Capitalization Weighted Stock Index (TAIEX) continued to fluctuate at a high level, with multiple individual stocks hitting their daily price limit, indicating ample market liquidity. Despite undergoing slight corrections, the index ended the day with a 26-point increase at 23,058 points, while the Taiwan Futures Index rose by 11 points to 22,991 points, with a widening discount of 67.57 points. This is attributed to the decreased net short positions held by major institutional investors and the generally neutral options market sentiment.
