As part of Taiwan's government's new policy to provide better support for farmers, the Department of Agriculture has announced an increase in occupational injury benefits for farmers. Under the new policy effective from September 1st, farmers will receive higher daily benefits for the first two months of being unable to work due to injury or illness. With an additional monthly premium of only 15 NT dollars, the new policy aims to provide more comprehensive protection for farmers in the agricultural sector.
