Taiwan received 3 gold and 5 silver medals at the 2024 Asian Physics Olympiad held in Malaysia, ranking 5th among 27 countries/regions and 208 participating students. The team of 8 students underwent rigorous training led by professors from local universities, with students from institutions like Taichung First Senior High School and Taipei Municipal Jianguo High School achieving remarkable results. The Ministry of Education plans to continue identifying and training talented students for international competitions to foster more physics talents for the nation.
