A Taoyuan City councilor revealed that the water machine vendor for the airport high-speed rail line allegedly swapped samples during testing, leading to concerns about water quality. In response, the Taiwan High-Speed Rail Company reported the incident to the Taoyuan District Prosecutors Office. The company temporarily halted water supply, conducted retests, replaced filters, and engaged a third-party for verification to ensure passenger safety. The matter, involving 28 schools and medical institutions, is now under investigation, with potential contract termination and legal consequences for the vendor if found guilty.
