A simulation drawing of the 'Taiwan High Speed Rail Entertainment Shopping City' near the Taiwan High Speed Rail Taichung Station has been revealed, featuring a shopping center, cinema, and a five-star hotel among its development plans. The project is scheduled to be completed and operational by mid-2028. The development, signed between the Taiwan Railway Administration and First International Development Co., Ltd., includes leisure shopping spaces like a shopping center, cinema, and a five-star hotel, along with an A-grade office building, international conference center, multi-purpose exhibition center, multi-functional theater, and art museum. The luxury hotel will introduce the European hotel brand 'Kempinski Hotels Group' and is expected to be completed by 2026, with the overall project completion date set for 2028. The strategic location in the central Taiwan area boasts excellent transportation advantages with multiple railway, road, and highway connections, which is expected to significantly impact local lifestyle and development.
