Taiwan-India MOU Initial Approval! Indian Migrant Workers Coming to Taiwan, First Batch Pilot Program Limited to Less Than a Thousand People

Taiwan and India signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for labor cooperation, allowing the introduction of Indian migrant workers to Taiwan. Minister of Labor, Hsu Pei-shan, mentioned that the initial plan involves a dual track system of direct hiring and intermediary, with a pilot program limited to less than 1000 people. The timing of when Indian migrant workers will come to Taiwan has not been finalized and may take over a year to implement. The MOU has passed the initial review and will be submitted for legislative discussion.
