The Central Weather Bureau announced that on July 3, 13 counties and cities in Taiwan might experience temperatures as high as 36 degrees Celsius, with the possibility of extreme highs of 38 degrees in Tainan City, Kaohsiung City, and Pingtung County. The week ahead is expected to remain hot, with potential afternoon thunderstorms in central and southern areas due to prevailing southeast winds starting Thursday.
