The Central Weather Bureau stated that Taiwan and outlying islands will experience hot and mostly clear weather with possible brief showers or thunderstorms in certain areas. There is a high chance of extreme heat reaching up to 37 degrees in the southern region today, with localized thunderstorms in central and northern mountainous areas. Meteorologist Lin De-en warned that there is no peak heat, only hotter temperatures, advising people to take precautions such as sunscreen and staying hydrated to prevent heatstroke. Various regions have been issued color-coded heat warnings, with conditions expected to remain sweltering in the coming days as the Pacific high-pressure system lingers.
