During the review of the amendment to the Electoral Law by the Legislative Yuan's Internal Affairs Committee in Taiwan, a brawl broke out between members of the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) and the opposition Kuomintang (KMT). Physical altercations included KMT lawmaker Chen Yu-chen tearing DPP signboards, and DPP lawmaker Lin Chu-yin getting slapped and injured. The meeting was disrupted by violent incidents, leading to a halt in proceedings and ongoing accusations between the two parties.
