In a chaotic scene during the legislative by-election law battle in the Taiwanese parliament on July 5, Chen Zhihan, the director of the People's Party caucus, live-streamed the committee proceedings on her phone, leading to confrontation with the ruling party, the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP). Former party member Wu Jingyi criticized Chen's actions as seeking attention, likening it to 'running naked for exposure'. The People's Party Chairman, Ko Wen-je, supported Chen's stance, considering her as a standby legislator and emphasizing the need for her to develop stronger leadership qualities. The green camp criticized the People's Party for their assistant live-streaming during the committee meeting, while Chen defended her actions, claiming she was only fulfilling her duties and not disrupting the proceedings, unlike the DPP legislators who were accused of obstructing the legislative process and failing to fulfill their commitments to the people.
