The Central Weather Bureau in Taiwan issued a high-temperature warning for 17 counties and cities as the scorching hot weather continues, with extreme temperatures of 38 degrees expected in Taitung County. However, amidst the widespread heatwave, Hsinchu City managed to stay cool, and the reason behind this cooling effect has been unveiled. The Bureau attributed this phenomenon to the influence of southwest winds causing high temperatures in various regions, with western Taiwan experiencing extreme heat. Nevertheless, Hsinchu City, located near the sea, benefits from sea breeze regulation, resulting in cooler temperatures compared to other areas.
