According to Cai Mingyan, even when Lai Ching-te visits the National Security Bureau, the convoy must deactivate the dashcams. Opposition legislators have raised concerns that various military administrative vehicles, including official cars, may have dashcams using Chinese brands, posing potential security risks of data leakage. However, National Security Bureau Director Cai Mingyan reassured that the bureau does not use mainland-made dashcams, with strict security measures in place at the premises. Cai Mingyan emphasized the importance of upholding legal fishing operations in sensitive waters and monitoring Chinese vessels operating near Taiwan. He also mentioned the monitoring of Chinese activities at sea and the immediate reporting and handling of any abnormal situations by the Bureau.
