Taiwan's Olympic representative team lineup for 2024 has been officially announced with 60 athletes securing Olympic tickets in 16 sports categories, including judo star Yang Yung-wei, badminton ace Tai Tzu-ying, and weightlifting goddess Kuo Hsing-chun. The team aims to surpass the achievements of the previous Tokyo Olympics with 2 gold, 4 silver, 6 bronze medals, totaling 12 medals. Among the first batch of athletes leaving on the 17th, there are both seasoned veterans and newcomers, such as table tennis player Chuang Chih-yuan and shooting athlete Lin Yi-chun. Despite a reduction in participating events from the last Olympics, expectations are high on potential medalists like Yang Yung-wei, Tai Tzu-ying, and Kuo Hsing-chun, with hopes to exceed the results of the Tokyo Olympics and achieve new heights.
