On June 18, 2024, Kuomintang lawmakers held a press conference criticizing the Democratic Progressive Party government's decision to blur out details in documents related to digital ID, suspecting potential favoritism towards companies. In response, Interior Minister Liu Shih-fang stated that all actions were in compliance with the Government Information Disclosure Act and the Personal Data Protection Law. She clarified that the blurring of information was done to protect privacy and emphasized that there were no irregularities found in the documents provided. This issue was raised as part of a political inquiry session at the Legislative Yuan.
