Taiwan's passive component production value is expected to return to growth track this year, as announced by the Ministry of Economic Affairs. After six consecutive quarters of negative growth in the third quarter of 2023, terminal demand gradually rebounded from the trough, along with customer restocking. The industry has maintained growth momentum since the second half of last year, projecting an end to two years of negative growth with a return to growth. The main exports of Taiwan's passive components include capacitors, with a significant decrease in the export share to Mainland China and Hong Kong due to global supply chain shifts, while exports to the US and ASEAN have increased compared to 2017.
