Taiwan Power Company clarified that the activation of the diesel generator and hydroelectric power generation at the nuclear power plant was part of routine operations and not due to power shortages. The company emphasized that these actions, including the full-load testing of emergency turbines, were necessary and scheduled procedures. They also highlighted that hydroelectric power generation is prioritized for water supply needs and does not affect normal water usage. The Minister of Economic Affairs denied rumors of power shortages and assured readiness for the decommissioning of nuclear power units.
