Taiwan Power Company Expects Power to be Restored at 2 PM After Large Power Outage in Xinwu, Taoyuan Due to Utility Pole Accident

A 69-year-old man driving a tow truck in Xinwu District, Taoyuan, crashed into a utility pole causing a large power outage affecting 1800 households in the area. The man reportedly lost control due to feeling unwell, resulting in the pole collapsing and cutting off electricity to the residents. Taiwan Power Company responded promptly, with repair work ongoing and power expected to be fully restored by 2 PM after initially restoring power to 1741 households out of the affected 1800.
