On June 17, in Longjing District, Taichung City, a power outage led to Taiwan Power Company personnel repairing a transformer when it suddenly sprayed flames, causing the employee to sustain first and second-degree burns on the face. The incident was suspected to be caused by a short circuit leading to an oil spill. The personnel is receiving treatment at Taichung Veterans General Hospital without life-threatening injuries. Firefighting and rescue were dispatched to the scene for assistance.
